Alice & Dave’s wedding was the perfect mix of laid-back coastal vibes and heartfelt moments—just the way they wanted it.

The day started at a beachy Airbnb where Alice and her girls were already looking stunning when I arrived—just finishing off the final touches of jewellery and popping on a boutonnière for her dad. The mood was light and joyful, setting the tone for everything to come. After a few relaxed portraits, I made my way to the ceremony at Kirra Hill Community Centre.

The sky was a little moody, but the rain held off just long enough. Dave and his groomsmen were in good spirits, full of banter and nerves. When Alice arrived and walked down the aisle with her dad, let’s just say Dave might’ve had something in his eye… The ceremony was warm, genuine, and full of smiles—these two clearly don’t take themselves too seriously, and it made for such a fun vibe.

After the big “I dos,” the newlyweds walked back down the aisle to hugs, cheers, and a whole lot of love. We rolled into a big group shot, some family photos, and then everyone headed over to Bilinga SLSC to kick off cocktail hour.

The bridal party made their entrance through a tunnel of raised arms—super fun and totally them. Guests were soaking up the atmosphere with drinks, nibbles, and beach views while we kept dodging the rain. I managed to sneak Alice & Dave away for a quick beach wander, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect—a rainbow appeared. Not kidding. One of the best I’ve seen.

A light shower sent us running back to the car, but on the drive back we spotted a break in the clouds and jumped out for a few more shots in that beautiful golden mist.

Back at the surf club it was all about relaxed mingling, heartfelt speeches, cake, and a sweet first dance. Midway through, the dancefloor filled as everyone jumped in to join them—and that’s pretty much how the night rolled on: full of laughter, love, and good tunes.

Such a cracker of a day with two legends who really knew how to do their wedding their way.
