Hi, I'm Kevin
I’ve had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. I started out as a kid with an old film camera — the kind that gave you 24 shots, so every click had to count. That early habit of slowing down and paying attention has stuck with me ever since. I was born and raised in Tweed Heads, but the urge to travel hit me early. Before photography became my career, I spent years working and backpacking around the world — I was actually a chef in a past life. I wanted to capture everything I saw: vibrant landscapes, fascinating people, and fleeting moments in unfamiliar places. When my photos didn’t quite reflect how those experiences felt, I threw myself into learning the craft properly. Then my two sons came along. Naturally, the camera turned to them. That led to friends asking for family shoots… then weddings… and suddenly, what started as a bit of fun became something much more. My path into wedding photography has been a pretty organic one — it wasn’t the plan, but it turns out documenting real moments is where I feel most at home. These days I’m based in Northern NSW, shooting weddings from Byron to Brisbane and beyond. I still love to travel and take on a few destination weddings, especially if your celebration involves a beach or some fresh powder in Japan.
My style combines classic portrait photography and candid documentary style with a relaxed feel. I want the moments captured from a wedding day to stay timeless for the years to come and be vibrant with real life colour. In my approach to the day, I love being both in the action and hiding in the sidelines. It’s a balance between observing, and capturing the little moments, stepping in to give gentle guidance where needed. I’m also so much more than someone who just takes your photos. I’m there for you throughout this whole experience – from the very beginning, to the very end.
