Marley & Dane’s Midginbil Eco Resort Wedding | Tweed Valley, Northern NSW
Marley & Dane’s Midginbil Eco Resort wedding was the perfect mix of love, laughter, and party vibes. Set under the stunning fig tree overlooking the Tweed Valley, their day was filled with heartfelt moments, confetti canons, and an epic dancefloor celebration.
Their vision was simple: not too traditional, more of a party that they get married at. And they nailed it.
The day started with the girls getting ready, spirits were high as the hair and makeup ladies buzzed around. I slipped in to grab some candid shots before heading off to find the boys over at the Rose Manor cabin. The banter was thick, and while Dane tried to play it cool, you could see those pre-ceremony nerves peeking through. A few relaxed photos with the guys (I never push too hard at this stage—most men hate photos before the fun really starts!) and then I made my way back to the girls.
It was time for Marley’s dress. Such a beautiful moment. Once she was ready, we grabbed a few shots with her bridal party, and some of just her looking incredible, before heading to the ceremony.
The ceremony setting? Absolutely breathtaking. Under the massive fig tree overlooking the Tweed Valley – it doesn’t get much better. Adding a twist of humour, Marley’s brother and cousin stepped in as “flower men,” complete with bumbags full of petals, showering guests as they strutted down the aisle. The crowd loved it.
Then came the moment everyone was waiting for. Marley walked down the aisle with her dad by her side, and all eyes were on her – especially Dane’s. The ceremony, led by Renee from Help Me Hitch, was heartfelt with the perfect balance of emotion and laughter. Renee always brings such a positive energy and a few cheeky laughs with her sharp wit, which made the whole moment even more memorable. After their ‘I do’s,’ they sealed it with a kiss and strolled back down the aisle through a storm of confetti.
From there, it was hugs, cheers, and a big group shot before family photos. Guests made their way down to the barn for cocktail hour while I stayed back with the bridal party for some fun shots, then stole Marley & Dane away for a wander. We stopped at a few spots along the way, capturing relaxed, natural moments with just the two of them.
As the sun dipped, the couple shared something really special – they snuck away to read their personal vows in private. Just the two of them, taking in the moment. Pure magic.
Back at the barn, it was time to turn up the party. The couple made their grand entrance, bursting in with a confetti cannon, greeted by huge cheers. The reception rolled on with speeches that were equal parts heartfelt and hilarious, then dinner, cake cutting, and the first dance. Halfway through their dance, guests joined them on the dancefloor, and from there the music pumped, the shoes came off, and the party truly began.
Their friends and family really know how to celebrate, and this wedding was living proof of it. Marley & Dane’s day was filled with love, laughter, and all the energy you could hope for – an unforgettable celebration for a beautiful couple.
