An-Toinette & Aiden’s Smoked Garage Wedding – A Luxe Brisbane Party Full of Love + Laughter

Some weddings just have that spark  –  the kind where the laughter never stops and the whole day feels like one big celebration. That was An-Toinette and Aiden’s day at The Smoked Garage. Their brief? “Not too traditional –  more like a party we get married at.” Mission accomplished.

The day started at a nearby apartment where the girls were getting ready –  calm but buzzing with that pre-wedding energy. I took a few candid shots, then stepped downstairs while they changed. When they came down, the mood shifted, all dressed up, ready to go, and looking amazing. We grabbed a few more photos before heading to the Smoked Garage.

The top-floor ceremony space is something else –  exposed brick, rustic charm mixed with luxe trimmings, and a full-length skylight pouring light down onto the aisle. An-Toinette walked down with her son by her side, and all eyes were on her, especially Aiden’s. The ceremony was heartfelt and full of warmth, with just the right amount of laughter. After the “I do’s,” they sealed it with a kiss and made their way back down the aisle through a flurry of colourful petals.

There were hugs all around, a big group shot for memories, and then guests headed downstairs for cocktail hour while we took some relaxed bridal party photos. Once we wrapped those up, I stole the couple away for a few moments together – wandering through the venue’s nooks, grabbing shots that felt natural and real.

When we returned, the vibe had shifted to full celebration mode. Drinks flowing, everyone mingling and enjoying the night. Dinner led into speeches, the perfect mix of heartfelt and hilarious, followed by cake cutting and their first dance. Then came one of the night’s highlights: a jazz band that had everyone buzzing and straight onto the dancefloor. The party kicked off, and it didn’t slow down all night.

It couldn’t have played out any better – good people, good vibes, and a love that had everyone celebrating right alongside them.
