Georgia and Mat's wedding at Farm & Co was the perfect way to wrap up my 2026 season. It was my final wedding of the year and it couldn’t have been a better note to finish on. One of my favourite venues, close to home, incredible people, and a long lunch celebration done exactly right.

From the very first email, it was obvious this was not going to be a typical wedding. Georgia and Mat were preparing to move to America for work and had already planned a small elopement before this day. This was their chance to do it again, but this time with all their nearest and dearest around them. Instead of an engagement session, I photographed them before the elopement and then joined everyone for this long lunch celebration at Farm & Co. A pretty great way to do things if you ask me.

The day began at Georgia’s mums place where the girls were getting ready. Everyone did their own hair and makeup which instantly set the tone. Relaxed, fun, no pressure. I spent some time capturing candid moments as the morning unfolded before Georgia stepped into her dress. Once she was ready she revealed it to everyone at once and there were tears all around. One of those moments you can really feel.

We grabbed a few photos with her bridal party, then some portraits of Georgia on her own before I headed to the venue.

When I arrived at Farm and Co the boys were keeping cool in the shade. I took a few relaxed photos of them together without pushing things too far. Most guys are not exactly loving life in front of a camera at this point and I like to keep things easy so the smiles are still genuine later on.

As guests gathered, Georgia made her way down the aisle with her bridesmaids leading the way before walking with her mum and dad by her side. All eyes were on her, especially Mat’s. The ceremony was heartfelt and warm, with plenty of laughter woven through it. After their vows they walked back up the aisle through a shower of confetti, straight into hugs and congratulations.

We gathered everyone for a big group photo, followed by some family photos, then it was time for cocktail hour. As everyone settled into the shade, drinks and canapés were flowing and Cassidy Mackie was on music duties. She’s my favourite wedding singer and her voice created the perfect relaxed atmosphere to ease everyone into the afternoon. I stole the bridal party away for a few photos under the trees before everyone headed inside.

As guests moved inside, Georgia and Mat wasted no time setting the vibe. Cake was cut with a sword, cheers followed, and the celebration was well and truly underway. Speeches were scattered through the lunch, each one filled with love, laughter, and moments that had everyone listening.

The long lunch rolled on beautifully until Georgia and Mat stood up to share a speech of their own. From there it was straight into their first dance. Guests quickly joined them and the energy lifted even more. This was a crowd that knew how to celebrate properly.

As the sun started to dip, I stole Georgia and Mat away one last time. Golden hour light, a bit of quiet, and some time just for the two of them. Those moments always end up being some of my favourite images of the day.

When we made it back the lunch was winding down, everyone was still smiling, and it felt like the perfect ending. I heard there were plans to kick on at a nearby bar, which felt very on brand.

Such a memorable day for a beautiful couple and the perfect way to close out my year of weddings.
