Kevin did such an amazing job as our photographer

Kevin did such an amazing job as our photographer for our wedding in September.
From the first meeting, Dan and I both felt so comfortable and we knew we were in very safe and experienced hands!
I had been a bridesmaid previously where Kevin was the photographer, and I knew from then that I wanted him to also do our wedding.
He has a knack for making everyone feel comfortable from the start, and now that we have our gallery back all we can say is “wow”.
Everyone who has seen the photos is so impressed. Kevin has a real skill of allowing Dan and I to enjoy our wedding to the fullest while also getting great photos without taking hours to do so, which we really valued.
Big shout out to Oscar on the videographing too!

Thank you Wattleseed!!
Lots of love,
Lucy and Dan

A little bit of something different from me…

Before weddings became my thing, this is where my photography started, travelling around with a camera, chasing landscapes, light, mountains, coastlines and anything else that made me stop and think, I need to photograph that.

I don’t share much of my personal photography on here, but it’s still something I love doing whenever I get the chance.

I think a lot of what I learnt from shooting travel/landscapes has probably stuck with me over the years too - looking for good light, interesting compositions, waiting for the right moment and, sometimes, just knowing when to stop and take it all in.

So here are a few favourites from the archives.

Not a wedding in sight.

Lucy & Dan @osteriaweddings, Casuarina - A Spring

Lucy & Dan @osteriaweddings, Casuarina - A Spring Wedding Full of Fun!! Some weddings are all about recreating the latest TikTok trend or getting that perfect Instagram shot. Lucy and Dan’s wedding was definitely not one of those. I had photographed one of Lucy’s close friend’s weddings a while back, where Lucy was a bridesmaid, so I already knew a few of the crew and had a pretty good feeling this was going to be a party with a wedding attached. Turns out, I was right.

And the funny thing is, because nobody was trying too hard to create the “perfect” moment, we ended up with heaps of them anyway. Plenty of those perfectly Instagram-worthy shots, just without anyone actually trying to make them happen.

Lyndal & Mitch | A Perfect Spring Wedding @babalou

Lyndal & Mitch | A Perfect Spring Wedding @babalou_weddings_events , Tweed Coast.

Some wedding days just seem to flow. Lyndal and Mitch’s was one of those days. Perfect spring weather, a relaxed and organised crew, plenty of laughs and a couple who were clearly very comfortable in each other’s company. It all came together pretty effortlessly.

"Where do we even start. From the very first moment, Kevin made us feel completely comfortable like we’d known him for years. His energy, direction, and the vision he brought to life were everything you could ever hope for in a photographer. He captured our engagement photos and wedding exactly how we imagined and somehow made it even better.

We’ve only received a handful of photos so far from our wedding and they are honestly the best we’ve ever seen. The way he works, the way he sees moments, and the way he brings out the real “us” is unmatched.

And Teko an absolute legend. His videography presence was calm, professional, and effortless. Together, they’re the dream team.

We want to say a massive thank you to both Kevin and Teko for being such a special part of our day. From our experience, we wouldn’t recommend anyone else. Wattleseed Collective is the team you want for your wedding"

"We had a great experience with Kevin from Wattleseed Collective. He communicated well throughout our wedding process and delivered us beautiful photos over a two day celebration. We appreciated Kevin's expert guidance with required hours, this ended up providing us with what we needed and was very affordable.
Kevin was positive, prompt and professional to deal with, his natural, relaxed approach suited our wedding perfectly. Highly recommended."

Emily & Sam at @midginbilecoresort_ I love weddi

Emily & Sam at @midginbilecoresort_

I love weddings at Midginbil, and these two were exactly the kind of couple this place seems to attract. Up for a good time, surrounded by great people, and not taking themselves too seriously.

The day had it all. Budgy Smugglers while getting ready with the boys, a few emotional moments with family, a beautiful ceremony under the big tree, one of the biggest confetti showers I've seen, and a sunset portrait session that was absolutely worth the extra effort.

Then it was back to the barn for a choreographed first dance, a packed dancefloor, champagne getting sprayed everywhere and, before the night was over, both dads dropping their pants for Eagle Rock.

Safe to say, Emily and Sam knew how to throw a wedding.
