Tia & Mick - A Stylish Beachside Celebration in Byron Bay.
Tia and Mick planned a day that felt relaxed, stylish, and genuinely fun from start to finish. There was a bit of talk about rain in the lead up, but it held off, and everything came together perfectly.
It really just felt like one of those easy, joy filled days where everyone could settle in and enjoy it.
We started the day with the girls, and it was all laughs from the beginning. Champagne was popped, music was on, and everyone was in great spirits. Tia looked incredible in her Grace Loves Lace dress. We grabbed some shots with the bridesmaids, a few with her parents, and some classic portraits of Tia on her own before we headed off to catch the boys.
Mick and the groomsmen were exactly what you would expect. Beers in hand, plenty of banter, and that mix of nerves and excitement starting to build. Nothing too serious, just a good group of mates enjoying the moment before things kicked off.
The ceremony ended up on a grassy spot rather than the beach, and it worked out so well. The light coming through the trees was beautiful. When Tia walked in, Mick’s reaction said everything. He was completely taken by her and kept sneaking in kisses whenever he could. It was a really nice mix of heartfelt moments and plenty of laughs. They exchanged rings, made it official, signed the paperwork, and walked back down the aisle to a big round of cheers.
Afterwards it was hugs all round, then a big group photo and family shots. Everyone settled into drinks and canapés in a pretty perfect setting while everything rolled on.
As the sun was starting to drop we headed down to the beach for portraits, and the light really showed up. Tia and Mick made it easy. No need to pose much, just letting them be together and enjoy it. You could tell how comfortable they are with each other, which always makes for the best photos.
When we returned they made their way into the reception to a big welcome from their guests, and the energy carried straight through. One of the standout moments was their kids doing speeches, which was really special and hit everyone in the room.
From there it was just a great mix of family and friends who knew how to enjoy themselves. Good energy, plenty of laughs, such a great day with these two.
