Like many couples this year, Haylea and Sam had their wedding plans flipped upside down with the onset of COVID-19, but they decided not to let a pandemic stop them from exchanging their vows and celebrating their love. They stopped re-planning for a 2021 wedding (goodbye stress and anxiety) and went ahead with their plans of a backyard wedding on the Gold Coast in Sam’s parent’s immaculate garden with their closest family and friends.

The benefit of having a backyard wedding is the ease of creating a relaxed vibe, no venue costs & having the ceremony and reception in the one spot. You and your guests will feel more comfortable in a space that feels like home and it will be a special memory your family and friends will cherish forever.

Once the official paperwork was signed it was time for some family photos before the bridal party moved to the front garden to chill and have some photos. Once that was done Haylea, Sam & myself went for a quick drive to a park down the road for a walk to get some couple shots. We visited the little creek and walk bridge (I ran through the bush for some shots and found every spider in the vicinity) before ending the session as we started, roaming the grassy fields as the sun set. Then it was back to Sam’s parents for some amazing food from The Italian Job Catering Co. ,drinking& dancing.

It truly was a perfect day and I’m so excited to share a few highlights today! Congrats lovers’
